Having run for over 20 years, and winning two major awards last year, the RAF Cosford Air Show is a popular day out for the whole family and parking is free!
Whether it’s reminiscing about the ‘Good Old Days’ while watching the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight or standing in awe of the Red Arrows who are celebrating their 50th Anniversary, the 6 hour flying display holds delights for all. Other military aircraft in the flying display are the RAF Chinook and Army Apache taking part in an exciting demonstration of their combat capabilities along with the Tucano displaying in a special ‘Lest We Forget’ paint scheme. Civilian aircraft include the Breitling Wing Walkers, the Canberra PR9 and the ever popular Vulcan.
There is a large indoor craft fair along with three hangars containing interactive displays showcasing the best of both the Royal Air Force and local organisations, including open aircraft allowing you to sit in the cockpits. Outside you will find a fun fair, arena displays including Field Gun teams, plenty of food vendors and traders displaying their goods.
Cosford Air Show takes place this year on Sunday 8 June and we've joined with the show's organisers to offer readers the chance to win one of two pairs of tickets.
Competition closes Thursday 22 May.
