With over twenty-five million albums sold worldwide, Alice In Chains were one of the 1990s’ most successful music acts. Blending the grunge music for which they’re best known with heavy metal and acoustic elements, they were one of numerous Seattle bands to rise to stardom at the beginning of the ’90s, sharing the limelight with Nirvana, Pearl Jam and Soundgarden. Taking a three-year break in 2002, they reunited in ’05 with new lead vocalist William DuVall, scoring a hit four years later with fourth studio album Black Gives Way To Blue. The band released their fifth studio album, The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here, in Spring 2013.

Alice In Chains play Birmingham's O2 Academy on Wednesday 13 November and we've joined with the band's promoters to offer readers the chance to win one of three pairs of tickets to the gig. Competition closes 4 November
