This Jacobean comedy, written in the early seventeenth century by Thomas Middleton and Thomas Dekker, is a fictionalised dramatisation of the life of Mary Frith, a notorious pickpocket and fence of the London underworld who was better known as Moll Cutpurse. Charismatic and cross-dressing, fearless and feisty, Moll is a match for any man - a fact not lost on Sebastian, who enlists her help when his father refuses to allow him to marry the girl he loves... Lisa Dillon takes the title role in a production that’s directed by RSC debutant Jo Davies.

The Roaring Girl shows at The Swan Theatre, Stratford-upon-Avon until Tues 30 September as we've joined with the theatre to offer readers the chance to win a pair of tickets to the 1.30pm performance on Saturday 9 August.

Competition closes on Thurs 31 July and winners will be notified by email.
