Birmingham-based troupe CircusMASH are to showcase Float - a circus experience fusing 'Whacky and vivacious performances with tantalising circus workshops' - at two city centre locations this weekend.
Promising to mesmerise audiences, Float will be performed at the Arcadian in Birmingham's Southside district at 2.30pm on Saturday 6 September and University of Birmingham the following day at 12noon. The latter will form part of the British Science Festival.
Commenting on what audiences can expect, CircusMASH Creative Producer and Director, Zaq Andel, said: “We hope to create a new brand of circus and performance with this piece. By utilising vibrant and rich visuals, combined with breath-taking circus mania, audiences will be stunned by what circus in our region has to offer."
CircusMASH was established in 2011 after founders Zaq and Joe decided to bring their skills and passion for circus to the West Midlands. Their mission is to drive circus as an art form and tool for community engagement throughout the region by offering a variety of performances, programmes and classes. Currently, they are working to renovate a building in Kings Heath to open Birmingham’s first Community Circus School. Whether focusing on professional development, community engagement or personal hobbies, CircusMASH aims to make circus accessible to anyone and everyone!
