Featuring trumpeter Ray Butcher

Ray Butcher is a jazz trumpeter who has played jazz with many of the greats from the UK scene. He’s worked with Dr John, Mica Paris and recorded a solo on the song ‘God’s Great Dance Floor’ from the US chart topping and GRAMMY nominated release by Chris Tomlin ‘Burning Lights’.

He is joined by a great band from Birmingham:

Drummer Miles Levin, studied at the Guildhall, is the the son of the Tony Levin- who played regularly with Tubby Hayes.

Tim Amann, who studied History at Cambridge, is a composer and leader himself and has played with Art Farmer and David Murray among others.

Bassist Mike Green has performed with Jamie Cullum and is very much in demand around the midlands and beyond.

Sam Rogers (sax) is an agile improviser and has worked with many influential musicians over a long period and brings a great warmth to the band.

The band plays jazz, funk, blue note & Latin instrumental music
