TOCA Social, the world’s first immersive football and dining experience, opening to the public in Birmingham’s Bullring from 3 June have announced they will be partnering with Chick ‘n’ Sours to launch a Gunpowder Wing.
The launch will see Chick ‘n’ Sours bring a taste of their ‘next level fried chicken’ to the city for the first time. To mark this and to celebrate TOCA Social’s arrival, the brands are teaming up to create the Birmingham-inspired ‘Gunpowder Wing’ which is a nod to the city’s curry culture.
The special, which is reminiscent of a dish served at a Chick ‘n’ Sours X Carters of Moseley pop-up in 2019, comprises of their famous twice cooked chicken wings tossed with ‘Gunpowder Crack’, a seasoning made with a blend of spices including garam masala, chaat masala and nigella seeds. The wings are finished off with pickled chilies, crispy shallots & fried curry leaves. The special will sit alongside their classic Crispy Chicken Tenders, Hot Wings and Kung Pao Chicken Wings on the menu.
Guests will also find other TOCA classics including Cajun Prawns, Double Smashed Patty, Buffalo Chicken Wings and Tendersfrom the Shared American Dinner, Colombian Beef Empanadas, Baja Crispy Fish and Birria Chipotle Beef Tacos from the Intercambio Latin American Staples and Katsu Chicken Boa, Steamed Gyoza and Crispy Duck Pancakes from the Baeng Banging Asian Food sections of the menu. There is also a wide variety of vegetarian or vegan options such as Vegan New York Dog, Shredded Mushroom Tacos and Korean Fried Cauliflower.
TOCA Social Birmingham will feature 23 interactive football boxes and 4 bars, becoming one of the city’s largest competitive socialising experiences. The venue will be open seven days a week and times will vary. Packages can be found for a variety of occasions, including corporate events, special occasions, screening events and festive parties.
