Undoubtedly one of Shakespeare’s most difficult, complex and controversial works, The Merchant Of Venice follows the fortunes of the unfortunate Antonio, who bets on a venture that fails to repay and finds himself forced to borrow money from Shylock, a man whom he loathes.

The Merchant Of Venice shows at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre, Stratford-upon-Avon, from Thurs 14 May until Wed 2 September and we've joined with the theatre to offer readers the chance to WIN! one of two pairs of tickets to the 7.15pm performance on Sat 20 June.
