Founded by organist & conductor Christopher Monks in 2001, Armonico are one of the largest organisations of their kind in the UK. Making excellent use of authentic period instruments, the baroque consort regularly perform with some of the best solo musicians in the world. 
This latest concert, presented in different venues on consecutive nights, sees them performing two masterpieces... Mozart’s Great Mass in C minor reflects the pomp and solemnity characteristic in Salzburg at the time of the composition’s world premiere there... JS Bach’s Magnificat, meanwhile, is widely considered by admirers of his choral music to be his finest creation.
