Coventry is set to host the UK’s biggest live Sri Lankan music concert of the year which will see the country’s biggest stars take to the stage in June.

Summer Punch 2024 will be held in the indoor arena at Coventry Building Society Arena on Saturday 8 June – with superstar Shihan Mihiranga headlining the star-studded line-up.

The event is set to attract thousands of people and bring together the Sri Lankan community from across the UK.

Shihan Mihiranga is a musician, composer and songwriter. He was a product of reality show Sirasa Superstar in Sri Lanka.

The star was one of the biggest youth sensations in the country of the 2000s and has more than one million followers on social media.

He will be joined by Wasthi, a two-man group comprising Anushka Liyanage and Dulaj Jayathilake. The duo run the number one entertainment Youtube channel in Sri Lanka, with over 1.7 million subscribers.

Umara Sinhawansha who is renowned for her contributions to the country’s pop, R&D and jazz genres, will also be performing at the event.

Infinity, a unique six-person band which cover a wide range of genres including rap, hip-hop, rhythm and blues and country, complete the line-up.

Summer Punch 2024 is presented by Shahashra Entertainments.

This marks the inaugural Sri Lankan full-standing concert hosted in the UK by Shahashra Entertainments. The event aims to emulate the success of similar gatherings in Sri Lanka.

Coventry Building Society Arena recently launched its live events proposition - CBS Live - and Summer Punch 2024 is one of many events set to be announced under the new brand.

Summer Punch 2024 is for over-14s only. 14 to 16-years-olds are permitted entry if accompanied by an adult aged over 18. Tickets are available now here.
