To mark this year’s Eid al Fitr, the Muslim festival celebrating the end of the fast of Ramadan, Touchwood Solihull is hosting an event for families to enjoy on Sunday 14 April.

From 11am-3pm, local Solihull organisations including Solihull Central Masjid, The Olton Project, Solihull Hub and Solihull Islamic Education Academy will come together to deliver an exciting programme of activities at Touchwood.

Younger children can get involved with arts and crafts including porcelain painting from Solihull Central and a kite making workshop from the Afghan Association, with traditional costumes. The Olton Project will deliver a calligraphy workshop, and children can enjoy face painting and henna art.

Popular “nasheed” singer Mikhaeel Mala will be in attendance, and there will also be a live performance of traditional songs from The Olton Project’s Children’s Choir, and free snacks and drinks for visitors.
