An Evening with Tony Iommi MBE is coming to Royal Birmingham Conservatoire this September.

Black Sabbath, heavy metal and Birmingham icon Tony Iommi MBE is coming to the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire stage for one night only to talk about his remarkable career in music and the city that started it all.

With more than 45 albums to his name, Tony is preparing to launch his new solo album, From The Dark, in October 2026. Following his appointment as a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in June 2026, there couldn’t be a better time to hear a tale or two from the Godfather of Heavy Metal.

In conversation with Gary Newbon MBE, the Midlands-based sports broadcaster and journalist, this promises to be an exceptional evening of gig anecdotes, tour stories and insights into creating music that has been heard around the world.
