Over 10,000 sleuthing enthusiasts lined up this weekend, Friday 6 to Sunday 8 October, at Millennium Point's Eastside City Park for The Big Sleuth's final public farewell to the bear-illiant Big Sleuth bears, before they go to auction on Thursday 12 October.

The hugely popular sculpture trail has seen hundreds of thousands of local, national and even international visitors coming to Bear-mingham to follow the trail.

Visitors at Farewell Weekend were able to take in the spectacular sight of 85 bears splashing colour over Eastside City Park. The thousands of visitors who came had the opportunity to scan their remaining bears through The Big Sleuth app, give bear hugs and grab a selfie to their favourite bears.

The Farewell Festival gave families an area to create their very own bear design, have their face painted, learn circus skills, as well as loads more games and entertainment. Inside Millennium Point, you could see the remaining 22 bears that were on main trail and meet t some of the amazing Big Sleuth artists at the Artist Village.

The bears will head to Auction this Thursday 12 October at Thinktank, Birmingham Science Museum. The Big Sleuth Auction is the single biggest fundraiser that Birmingham Children's Hospital Charity has ever hosted after The Big Hoot. It is hoped that the bears will raise over £500,000 for Birmingham Children's Hospital Charity.
