A bold new electronic music festival launches in the UK this summer with a central message for all those who attend: go screen-free and connect with music in the moment together.

Taking place on Bank Holiday Sunday 30 August 2026, Off Grid will take place across a secluded Warwickshire woodland site easily accessible from Birmingham, Tamworth, and Lichfield, and where ‘experience is of equal importance to the lineup’.

Created by the teams behind renowned brands LAB11, DNB Collective, and Rock n Rolla, Off Grid arrives at a time when festivals across the UK are competing for attention in an increasingly hyperconnected and digital-first world.

Instead, Off Grid has built its identity around a simple message: No Signal Required.

Set amongst 10km2 of enchanting forest and green fields just outside the Royal Town of Sutton Coldfield, the festival offers an alternative to endless notifications, social media fatigue, and relentless pressure to experience events through a screen.

Festival-goers will be encouraged to immerse themselves in music and shared experiences, with a carefully curated line-up of electronic artists alongside independent food traders, bars, and wellness offers drawn from across the region.

Featuring 11 hours of live sets from leading global house and garage DJs and producers including Hannah Wants, Todd Edwards, Sam Divine alongside 14 more acts, the day-long nature and wellness-based multi-stage celebration pledges to put community and connection first.

Off Grid combines the accessibility of a city-edge location with the atmosphere of a forested countryside escape.

The festival also represents the latest development in Birmingham and the West Midlands' decades-long reputation as a centre for independent electronic music, culture and events, with venue Lab11 and promoters DNB Collective and Rock n Rolla having led the charge.

British house producer and DJ Hannah Wants, a native of Birmingham, has won a host of awards from Mixmag, DJ Mag and Bass Music Awards, released tracks with Chris Lorenzo, Katy B, Fabric:live, Ultra Music, Armada, Positiva and her own imprint Etiquette.

The global artist, who has held residencies in the UK, Ibiza, and the US, will play a one-off B2B set at Off Grid with influential US producer, DJ, and vocalist Todd Edwards.

Edwards, known for his work with Daft Punk (winning a Grammy Award for his work on the French duo’s album ‘Random Access Memories’) and Defected Records, helped to influence the sound of UKG with his sampling and editing techniques adapted as hallmarks of the speed and 2 step garage movements.

The inaugural edition of Off Grid will take place outside the Royal Town of Sutton Coldfield on Sunday 30 August 2026, and will create jobs and opportunities for local independent music, NTE, and hospitality supply chain businesses in the process.
