Artistic Director Corey Campbell, CEO Laura Elliot, and the whole team at the Belgrade Theatre Coventry are delighted to reveal further details of the Spring '26 season. The programme includes co-produced work with Gate Theatre Dublin and The Emma Rice Company, HOME Manchester and Liverpool Everyman & Playhouse alongside a rich mix of theatre, music and family entertainment.

Poor, a Belgrade Theatre and Gate Theatre Dublin co-production, tells the story of Katriona O’Sullivan’s extraordinary journey as she emerges from a childhood in Coventry and Birmingham marked by poverty, addiction and homelessness before moving to Dublin where she overcame insurmountable obstacles on her way to achieving a PhD at Trinity College, Dublin. Playing at the Belgrade Theatre from Friday 1 - Saturday 9 May after a forthcoming run at the Gate Theatre Dublin this autumn, this world premiere will be a beacon of hope, resilience and community, and will be a catalyst for discussion and change around the most critical social issues of our time.

The Emma Rice Company, Belgrade Theatre, HOME Manchester and Liverpool Everyman & Playhouse co-production, Malory Towers, adapted from the novels of Enid Blyton, will come to Coventry from Tuesday 12 – Saturday 16 May. Nostalgic, naughty and perfect for now, this is the original ‘Girl Power’ story. A show for girls, boys and all grown-up children who still dream of midnight feasts and Cornish clifftops.

The worldwide smash-hit The Choir of Man, created by Nick Doodson and Andrew Kay, arrives direct from the West End from Tuesday 7 – Saturday 11 April as part of its first ever UK Tour. Audiences are invited to step into The Jungle, the best pub in the world, ready to drink in the excitement! Brimming with hits from artists such as Queen, Luther Vandross, Sia, Paul Simon, Adele, Guns & Roses, Avicii and Katy Perry to name but a few, this is a pub like no other!

Patricia Highsmith’s iconic The Talented Mr Ripley, adapted for stage by Mark Leipacher, visits the Belgrade as part of its national tour from Monday 13 – Saturday 18 April. Step into a world of deception, desire and deadly ambition. How far would you go to become someone else?

The critically acclaimed West End comedy Glorious!, follows Florence’s journey as she prepares for her concerts, builds an unlikely friendship with her accompanist, Cosme, and defies her critics to follow her dreams. The production will be screeching into Coventry from Monday – Saturday 23 May as part of its UK tour.

Presented by Original Theatre, Murder at Midnight, playing Tuesday 3 – Saturday 7 March, is a deliciously twisted crime caper from the writer of Murder in the Dark. It’s New Year’s Eve in a quiet corner of Kent and a killer is in the house. A murder mystery with a difference. One house. Seven suspects and a Murder at Midnight…

H.G Wells classic novel War of the Worlds retold by Imitating The Dog runs from Wednesday 18– Saturday 21 March. Four performers enter the stage with cameras and construct an epic road movie before our eyes. It’s a story we know or think we know – an apocalyptic tale of alien invasion and the unfolding destruction of everything we hold dear. Extra-terrestrial lifeforms land from the skies. Lines of Brits scrabble to flee across the channel while their cities and towns lie in smoldering ruins. It’s all of our worst nightmares.

Presented by Dash Arts, Our Public House by Barney Norris combines live music and the real words of people across England. Funny and big-hearted, it tells a story of change in a pub where anything can happen. Tensions rise, love sparks, secrets spill out and everyone starts speaking their minds. It plays from Thursday 4 – Saturday 6 June

This season also features a wide range of family shows such as There’s a Monster in Your Show, adapted from Tom Fletcher’s interactive adventures, runs from Tuesday 17 to Saturday 21 February. The Boy at the Back of the Class, adapted by Nick Ahad from Onjali Q. Raúf’s novel, plays from Wednesday 25 to Saturday 28 February. Told from a child’s perspective with warmth and humour, it highlights the power of friendship and courage in a world that doesn’t always make sense. From Wednesday 27 to Saturday 30 May, The Gruffalo, Tall Stories’ much-loved adaptation of Julia Donaldson’s picture book, returns with songs, laughs and monstrous fun for children aged three and up and their grown-ups. Finally, from Thursday 11 to Sunday 14 June, Roald Dahl’s The Enormous Crocodile weaves his way through the jungle in search of delicious little fingers and squidgy podgy knees, only to be thwarted by the courage of the other animals.
