One of Birmingham’s oldest buildings will welcome street food fans for a one-off evening of culinary treats thanks to a new partnership between Digbeth Dining Club (DDC) and Birmingham Museums.

The magnificent Grade II listed Tudor farmhouse Blakesley Hall in the city’s Yardley area will see food traders serving cuisines including British, Caribbean, Japanese, Portuguese during an exclusive evening on Friday 27 June 2025.

Blakesley Hall Dining Club is the latest addition to an already brimming summer programme of DDC events across the West Midlands, and expands the street food operator's offer footprint into the East of the city, following demand from residents and businesses.

Businesses confirmed to trade across the evening include Beef on the Block, Charlie’s Fried Chicken, Esmie’s Caribbean, Flavours on Fire, and Hope You’re Hungry, with more to be announced.

Jack Brabant, co-founder and director of Digbeth Dining Club, said: “Building new connections with key organisations across the city and region, especially when they enable us to bring our world-class food offering to new audiences, is a priority for us at DDC.

“We have wanted to expand our footprint into the East of the city, and Yardley in particular, and can’t think of anywhere better to launch with than beside the wonderful Blakesley Hall, thanks to our friends at Birmingham Museums.”

DDC has established a national reputation working with some of the Midland’s most historic sites, including Warwick Castle, Compton Verney, Black Country Living Museum and Attingham Park.

The much-anticipated DDC Summer Tour includes more than 40 street food events between May and September, feeding people across Birmingham, Solihull, Warwickshire, Worcestershire, Staffordshire and more.

The full line up of dates until August has been unveiled, with more to be announced soon.

Now in its eighth year, the Digbeth Dining Club Summer Tour has amassed a huge foodie following, with more than 70,000 people attending the street food events every year.

Blakesley Hall is one of Birmingham’s oldest and most historically significant buildings, situated just a few miles from the centre of Birmingham.

The beautiful house was built over 430 years ago in 1590 by Richard Smalbroke, a member of one of Birmingham’s leading merchant families.

The house is furnished using an inventory taken in the 17th century and reflects the lifestyle of a wealthy family of the late Tudor and Stuart period of English history.

Retaining many original features, including the painted chamber whose secrets were hidden until WWII bomb damage revealed the original painted walls from 1590, Blakesley Hall also boasts an atmospheric Great Parlour, Great Hall and Long Gallery.

The property is managed by Birmingham Museums, alongside eight other extraordinary venues that provide a fascinating glimpse into Birmingham's rich and vibrant past and showcase world-class museum collections.
