Visitors are invited to shop with a purpose at Birmingham’s museums this November as part of an annual global event to encourage people to discover unique gifts and support local artists and makers while helping to sustain museums and cultural venues that play an important role in their communities.
On Museum Shop Sunday (29 November 2026), Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery, Thinktank, Birmingham Science Museum and Museum of the Jewellery Quarter are offering a special 15% discount on both in-store and online products, as well as edible festive treats for in-person shoppers.
Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery has a wide range of unique and unusual products on sale, many of which are locally made and reflect the city’s past and present, including Benny's Babbies, Pre-Raphaelite inspired products and the new Joe Lycett range from his exhibition Every Thing Must Go.
Meanwhile, for curious minds, there are science and space-themed gifts at Thinktank, while the Museum of the Jewellery Quarter offers items that celebrate creativity and craftsmanship.
Whether looking for a special present, a locally inspired souvenir or something a little different, visitors can support Birmingham’s museums while finding something meaningful to give.
With more than 2,300 museum shops and cultural venues across 25 countries taking part, the annual event highlights how shopping at a museum can make a difference.
