The Artisan Show is coming to the historic grounds of Maxstoke Castle for the first time on 16-17 May, promising a weekend of British craftsmanship, heritage and living history like no other.

Bringing together two worlds; crafts practiced centuries ago and those still used today - the castle are welcoming the Knights of Honour reenactment. Step back in time to 14th-century England, where the they will present a fully immersive living history encampment. Experience traditional medieval methods including fletching, candle making, ceramics, cooking displays, apothecary practices and a working forge.

Maxstoke Castle is rarely open to the public so this is a unique opportunity to meet artisans and makers in a very special space.

This event offers something completely different in showcasing a combination of centuries-old skills, alongside modern creativity from 90 handpicked contemporary artists.
