Children across the UK and beyond will this summer have the opportunity to learn a new language in a fun and interactive Forest School environment, thanks to an innovative programme being launched by franchise business Lingotot.

The 10-year-old company has grown from offering French lessons to children in the north-east of England to a multinational operation, making available lessons in eight different languages, including Spanish, Mandarin and Italian.

Lingotot has continued to support children with interactive and child-centred online classes throughout the lockdown period. Now, with small groups able to meet outside, the company has announced that it will be running summertime Forest Schools.

Children ‘aged 0 to 12’ will be able to join in the fun of learning a new language through songs, stories and play, in a range of natural settings such as forests, woodlands, school fields and parks.

The government’s social-distancing guidelines will be followed at all times.

Lingotot’s founder and CEO, Angela Sterling, said: "We really miss our children all across the country! It's great seeing them in online classes, but it's not quite the same as hearing them giggle and respond to a new language in real life. The programme will bring some much-needed education and a blast of fun into children's lives!"
