Midlands Arts Centre are kicking off 2019 with lots of fun family events, shows and activities.

They've got February half-term and Easter sorted with an imaginative range of kids’ and family workshops, courses and MAC Camps to keep them engaged throughout.

ANiMALCOLM - Saturday 20 - Sunday 21 April

A vibrant, energetic and gloriously funny musical from the award-winning Story Pocket Theatre. ANiMALCOLM combines physical theatre, puppetry and the company’s outstanding storytelling style to bring David Baddiel’s magical and wonderfully comic story to the stage.

The Very Hungry Caterpillar Show - Thursday 2 – Saturday 4 May

Created by Jonathan Rockefeller, the critically acclaimed production of The Very Hungry Caterpillar Show features a menagerie of 75 lovable puppets, faithfully adapting four of Eric Carle’s stories, Brown Bear, Brown Bear, 10 Little Rubber Ducks, The Very Lonely Firefly and of course, the star of the show celebrating its 50th Birthday in 2019, The Very Hungry Caterpillar.

Lori Hopkins: Sourpuss - Sunday 17 February

Sourpuss is a very grumpy, ginger cat. When shut out of the house he feels lost and confused, but the beautiful garden soon intrigues him. Watch Sourpuss on his journey of discovery and enjoy learning the secrets of the great outdoors. From buzzing bees to a chirpy robin, stinky rubbish and vibrant flowers this visual show is a feast for little eyes.

This playful adventure for 3-8 year olds features string and shadow puppets beautifully crafted by hand.

WOW! It’s Night Time - Wednesday 20 - Thursday 21 February
