A new farmers' market is to launch in Bournville, bringing a range of local, independent food producers and farmers to the heart of the Village.
Bournville Village Farmers Market will welcome 50 stalls selling fresh fruit, vegetables, handmade produce and more to Sycamore Road, which runs alongside the award-winning Bournville Green.
It will be run by event organisers 1508 Ltd, which host a successful market in Harborne Village, with support from Bournville Village Trust which manages the Bournville Estate.
It’s hoped the market will help to draw more visitors to Bournville Village and give a welcome boost to the local economy, including to independent shops and visitor attractions in the area.
Bournville Village Farmers Market will launch on Saturday 3October, coinciding with national Buy British Day, and will then run on the first Saturday of each month up until December 2026. If the market is successful, it’s hoped it will become a permanent addition to Bournville Village’s visitor offer.
The market will run from 10am-3pm, with a road closure in place on Sycamore Road up until 6pm to protect the safety of visitors and stall holders and facilitate accessibility. The shopper’s car park will remain open.
