Northfield Community Partnership has announced the return of its much-loved Northfield Beach event, taking place from Thursday 23 - Sunday 26 July 2026 at Victoria Common in Northfield.

Now in its 14th year, Northfield Beach has become a highlight of the local calendar, welcoming more than 10,000 visitors in 2025. The free event offers a wide range of activities for families and individuals, bringing the seaside to the heart of the community.

Each year, Victoria Common is transformed into a lively urban beach and activity hub, celebrating community spirit through arts, wellbeing activities, live performances and sport. Visitors can enjoy a
packed programme including a cookery school, sports zone, free face painting, stilt walkers and a
variety of performances in the event’s dedicated Performance Tent.

The event will be officially opened during a special Premier Access Day on Wednesday 22 July by Laurence Turner, ahead of the public opening on Thursday.

Highlights for 2026 include the vibrant sounds of Oya Batucada and the return of the popular themed attractions, including the Jurassic Beach experience on Friday 24th July, where visitors can even meet a Stegosaurus.
