Oldbury Rep theatre is to host an exciting showcase featuring new writing and emerging performers this month.

Taking place from Tuesday 9 to Sunday 14 June, ReFresh will provide a platform for creatives via four original short plays offering fresh voices, new perspectives, and 'stories that surprise, delight and entertain.'

The programme comprises:

Staying Late by Peter Corser

It is 2007: two Teachers and four pupils - all trapped in detention. Who wants to be there least? Can any of them escape the roles they have been given?

The Interview by Lin McLeod

Mr Bailey needs a job, Mr Wyse needs something which escapes him, and Miss Carter just needs Mr Wyse to focus. As for Rose, well she just would like the sodding laptop to work!

T-Minus Mom by Peter Corser

Four girls, one night and twenty minutes to hide the chaos! The house is a trainwreck, the lies are piling up... and Mum is on her way home.

A Slice of Scandal by Ben Mills-Wood

A posh baker, a daughter home from university, a prize‑winning cake and a Lady Mayoress behaving very oddly. Something’s gone very wrong at the WI.

Tickets costing £10 per performance are now on sale. For further information, and to book tickets, visit olburyrep.org/shows
