Prept. is set to kick off its first-ever 2026 collaboration series at the acclaimed two-Michelin-starred Opheem in Birmingham.

Chef Patron Aktar Islam will be joined by fellow Michelin-starred chef and Great British Menu two-course winner Jean Delport for an exclusive one-night-only culinary event on 2 February 2026, in support of the Prept. Foundation.

Guests will enjoy an exclusive 8-course collaborative tasting menu with snacks, accompanied by either wine or non-alcoholic pairings. The dishes will showcase the creative talents of both Aktar and Jean, highlighting their shared passion for bold, innovative, and progressive flavours.

Jean Delport’s approach to fine dining reflects his roots in Cape Town, bringing a deep appreciation for terroir, seasonal ingredients, and fire cooking - an ethos that aligns perfectly with Opheem’s culinary philosophy.

The Prept. Foundation, founded by Jessica Aggarwal and Dan Wade, is dedicated to inspiring young people to explore cooking through hands-on food education programs. By supporting the foundation, Aktar and Jean aim to encourage the next generation of chefs and food enthusiasts.
