Páirc Summer Series, the UK's biggest celebration of Irish music and culture, has announced its brand new partnership with the Birmingham-Irish association; the Midlands' leading charity providing support and cultural services to the Irish community.
Their community engagement and outreach covers everything from Social Inclusion, Elders & Dementia Care, and Family Support to Passport Help, Emotional Support (and Mental Wellbeing), and of course, the encouragement and promotion of Irish Culture & Heritage Events.
So what does this mean for Pairc Summer Series? It means the inclusion of the all-new Irish Village hosted by our friends at the Birmingham-Irish association.
You’ll find this at the festival grounds positioned underneath stretch tents, tipis, and marquees and will include:
- Irish music workshops
- Learn to play the tin whistle and bodhran
- Irish language workshops
- Learn the Gaelic tongue!
- Traditional Irish music performed live
- Kids GAA & hurling activities
- Irish shop serving up the iconic fl avours of Ireland
- Irish cookery classes
- try your hand at soda bread making!
The two day summer festival will return to the New Irish Centre Grounds in Kings Heath in partnership with the Birmingham-Irish association on 23-24 August 2025 (August bank holiday weekend). This highly anticipated event, now in its fourth year, promises a vibrant weekend featuring a range of activities and vendors plus an incredible lineup of talent from both Birmingham and Ireland.
This year’s stellar lineup includes The Saw Doctors, The Undertones, Nathan Carter, The High Kings, Sharon Shannon Big Band feat. Liam Ó Maonlaí, Mundy, Cait O’Riordan & Camille O’Sullivan, The Tumbling Paddies, The Young Wolfe Tones, Lampa, One For The Road, Fin Furey, The Pogue Traders, The Father Teds & more Irish themed entertainment.
Attendees can also enjoy the festival’s own street food offerings, traditional Irish dancing, market stalls featuring local makers and Irish produce, outdoor bars, beer tents, and access to select afterparties.
