Paul Whitehouse and John Bailey bring How We Fish tour to Birmingham this winter.

Paul Whitehouse and Mortimer & Whitehouse: Gone Fishing consultant John Bailey have been devout fishermen for longer than they care to remember.  A hobby, pastime, or sport – call it what you want – they have felt the pull of the water ever since they were kids and have never missed the chance to set up on the bank and try their luck.

Now the two fishermen are going on tour to mark the publication of their new book How We Fish - The Love, Life, and Joy of the Riverbank. Each ticket to the tour includes a copy of the book.

Join Paul and John as they come together on stage to celebrate the rich tapestry that is fishing – from mentors to memories; from philosophy to modern jargon; from watercraft to becoming self-styled ‘Fishing Detectives’.  Punctuated by brilliant stories and recollections from fishing day trips past, How We Fish is the perfect way to spend an autumn evening in the theatre – warm, funny, and rich in the wonders of the riverbank.

Paul Whitehouse is a multi-award-winning comedian, actor, and co-star of the BBC show Mortimer & Whitehouse: Gone Fishing, alongside his old friend Bob Mortimer. Behind the scenes, John Bailey has been the fishing consultant on the show since it first aired in 2018, and is a respected fishing writer, as well as TV broadcaster, photographer, and campaigner.

How We Fish comes to Birmingham Town Hall on 12 November. Tickets are on sale here.
