Resorts World Birmingham is calling on creatives from across the West Midlands and Warwickshire to feature in its upcoming pop-up gallery, Art Among Us.
Running from Saturday 21 March - Sunday 5 April 2026, the exhibition will transform the venue into a celebration of regional identity, offering local artists a high-profile platform to showcase their work to the public.
Following the success of the recent ‘Gallery In The Glass’ exhibition, this new initiative expands the opportunity for local voices. The call is open to anyone aged 16 and over who lives, works, or studies in the region, ranging from enthusiastic beginners to established professionals.
The 2026 theme, 'when artists dream' has been left open to interpretation to encourage a broad range of creative responses. Whether through vivid imagination or abstract vision, artists are invited to explore the concept of dreaming through painting, photography, drawing, and printmaking. While existing pieces are welcome, the organisers hope the theme will inspire artists to push their practice in new directions.
Accessibility remains at the heart of the project, with a dedicated display wall for young artists under 16. To further engage the community, Resorts World will host a series of creative family activities throughout the exhibition’s run, ensuring the gallery is a space for all generations.
Submissions are free, and each artist may enter up to three 2D artworks. A selection panel, featuring the Resorts World marketing team and acclaimed art historian and critic Ruth Millington, will review all entries.
Prospective exhibitors must submit their work via email to art@resortsworldbirmingham.co.uk by 11.59pm on 17 February 2026. Emails should be marked ‘Open Call’ in the subject line, or ‘Children’s’ for those under 16. Successful artists will be required to deliver their work to the venue between 6 - 11 March. Full submission details and imagery requirements can be found on the Resorts World Birmingham website.
