Birmingham's Sarehole Mill is encouraging people to start the new year on the right foot by taking part in its 'fun and physical challenge', Run Of The Mill 21.

Runners and walkers are being challenged to complete 21km during the month of January and claim a specially designed limited-edition #RunOfTheMill21 medal.

There's no set route for Run Of The Mill 21, but entrants should either begin or end at Sarehole Mill on Cole Bank Road, Birmingham. An exclusive #RunOfTheMill21 medal can be collected upon completion by visiting Sarehole Mill Community Shop, which reopens after the winter break on 20 January.

Anyone wishing to take part can sign up via Birmingham Museums website. The entry fee is £10 and will raise funds to support Birmingham Museums' work in caring for the city’s historic venues and collections.

Entrants can also go the extra mile and fundraise further by asking friends and family to sponsor them via Birmingham Museums’ Just Giving page.
