The UK’s largest BBQ and live-fire food festival – Smoke and Fire Festival, is set to bring the heat to Birmingham this summer, with a brand new launch at BBC Gardeners’ World Live and the Good Food Show Summer, from 18-21 June at NEC.
A show within a show, Smoke and Fire Festival promises four days of pure theatre, flavour and celebration of everything BBQ, bringing together some of the most exciting names in fire-cooking right now, including, Austin, Texas-based Chef Colter Peck, founder of Daddy Bear Grills, Wayne Smith, and ex-Le Manoir, Chef Kuba Winkowski.
Designed as a fully-realised BBQ and outdoor living space, the show’s new dedicated feature: Smoke & Fire Zone spans four specialist areas including, the Smoke & Fire Show Garden: Eat, Heat, Retreat, BBQ Alley for a quality range of grills and smokers from some of the world’s best brands, Monolith BBQ School, where visitors have the opportunity to get hands-on fire and grill cooking experience, and finally the Ember Artisan Market, a collection of specialist makers and suppliers of BBQ and outdoor cooking equipment.
Bringing to life outdoor spaces designed to be lived in, where friends and families can gather, eat and entertain, the Festival’s brand-new Show Garden, Smoke & Fire: Eat, Heat, Retreat, invites visitors to immerse themselves in a truly sociable garden space, featuring stylish outdoor kitchens and dining areas, plus additions of wood-fired saunas and hot tub retreats.
Celebrating the art of live-fire cooking, the hands-on BBQ School, by premium German BBQ brand, MONOLITH, is set to be the ultimate BBQ learning experience. Led by professional pitmasters and butchers, each guided cooking session is a bookable experience, and has been designed to offer real, practical confidence in everything from meat selection, to live-fire cooking experience.
Bringing together some of the UK’s and World’s best BBQ brands, specialist makers and suppliers, the dedicated BBQ Alley, and Ember Artisan Market are a complete one-stop-shop for all things outdoor cooking and crasftmanship.
