Stirchley’s Kolkata Lounge is ready to open its doors once again after a complete refurbishment of the entire venue. Located in the heart of the ever popular Stirchley Village, Kolkata Lounge will also be creating 3 new jobs to increase their current team to 14 members of staff.

The decision was made to close during the lockdown (including missing out on the eat out to help scheme) and instead utilise the period as a positive and exciting opportunity for the business and local area.

The refurbishment has been a complete rebranding exercise which is also complementing all the regeneration and new businesses that Stirchley is recently benefitting from.

The new menu incorporates the owners unique family Bangladeshi recipes, alongside Kolkata’s already highly regarded dishes and also features 'healthy eating' options and together with full range of vegetarian choices. The name Kolkata reflects its uniqueness which started its journey way back in 2007.

The new Kolkata Lounge has taken inspiration from some of London’s most popular urban eateries and will provide customers with a cutting-edge and cool dining and drinking experience. A team of local interior designers, builders and suppliers have all been working on the project for 4 months.

Mr Hussain, Director at Kolkata Lounge comments: We believe in Stirchley and know the rising popularity of the village will continue for many years. We have been here for 12 years and have every confidence that our investment was the right move at the right time. I hope everyone will enjoy the new experience that awaits them.
