Anticipation builds as Two Wheels for Life reveals the challenge setters and the first challenge to be completed during The Big Ride to Mallory Park on Saturday 16 August 2025. With exciting challenges, and perfect biking weather forecast for the weekend, it’s time to get ready for The Big Ride.

As The Big Ride draws closer, the organisers of the charity ride, Two Wheels for Life, have dropped a hint about the sort of challenges that will be set for the participants on this treasure hunt-style ride to the Festival of Motorcycling at Mallory Park on Saturday 16 August 2025.

The Big Ride is open to everyone, riders and pillions, and a great way to arrive at the Festival of Motorcycling in style, while supporting a great cause. Participants can start the ride anywhere they like, with the deadline for arrival at the festival at 3pm on Saturday 16 August. Ticketholders will be sent the full list of challenges before the event, and on the way to the festival, riders can have fun completing as many challenges as possible. There’s no requirement to do them all, but there are prizes for those who complete the most, and have photo evidence to prove it upon arrival at Mallory Park Circuit.

All the challenges are set by big names in motorcycling from Isle of Man TT lap record holder Peter Hickman to Two Wheels for Life ambassador Vanessa Ruck, know online as The Girl on a Bike. The challenges reflect the different personalities and organisations behind them, and they cover everything from performing dares to visiting places or photographing something specific on the route.

To give everyone more of a taste of what to expect from the challenges, Two Wheels for Life has released the first one of them via instagram, set by event sponsor Beeline and content creator Guy Markham.

This is only the first of the challenges, the full list of which will be shared with the Big Ride participants at 00:30 on 16th August. Expect a wide variety of tasks from the Bike Shed Moto Co., Yamaha Motor UK, Beeline, Alpinestars, Michael Hill, Two Wheels for Life, Niall Mackenzie, MCN, The Girl on a Bike, Harvey Rides Bikes, and the festival organisers Classic Bike Track Days.

Purchasing a ticket for The Big Ride will also grant access to the Classic Bike Trackdays’ Festival of Motorcycling, including camping, live music and much more. Those who buy track tickets also get the chance to ride a parade lap of the iconic Mallory Park.

The Big Ride is a fantastic opportunity to join big names from the world of motorcycling including MotoGP legend Randy Mamola and former British racer Niall Mackenzie who will be meeting the riders at the festival, and to have fun and raise funds for the only charity that shows that motorcycles save lives, getting vital life-saving healthcare to people across Africa.

How it works

  • Plan your route. Start from any UK location leaving enough time to complete about 10 challenges and arrive at Mallory Park by 3pm.

  • The challenges. Set by motorcycle personalities, the challenges will test your skill, resourcefulness and ingenuity. You'll get a list in advance of the day - complete as many as you want.

  • Share. The challengers want to see evidence! It's easy but you'll need your smartphone. Full details of how to do this will be shared before the day.

  • Win prizes. The three riders who complete the most challenges will win, plus everybody will be entered into a draw to win prizes from us and our amazing partners.

  • Have fun. Your ticket includes access to the Festival of Motorcycling at Mallory Park, Saturday 16th & Sunday 17th August with free camping. Enjoy!

All participants get free entry to The Festival of Motorcycling on Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 August at Mallory Park where they will join Two Wheels motorcycle celebrities and get refreshments on arrival.

The festival features static displays and live track sessions showcasing everything from brand new showroom machines to classic & vintage bikes. There’s also action on the dirt, with an adventure bike course and trials area plus special guests and live entertainment on Saturday evening.

Those who buy track tickets also get the chance to ride a parade lap of Mallory Park.
