Shakespaw Cat Café – the only one of its kind in Warwickshire – is celebrating its first anniversary by offering a prize of festive sparkling Afternoon Tea for four people plus goody bags full of merchandise.
A lucky winner and three guests will be able to enjoy a selection of finger sandwiches, salad and Piper’s crisps plus a fruit or plain scone and choice of delicious cake as well as unlimited leaf tea or coffee and a glass of prosecco.
And, as an extra Christmas gift, they’ll take home goody bags loaded with Shakespaw-branded merchandise from their exclusive range which includes aprons, T-shirts, calendars, trolley tokens and cat ears.
The concept of the café originates from Taiwan and provides a valuable service to those people unable to keep their own pets at home as well as working closely with a cat rescue service to rehome them, potentially with customers.
There is a small entry fee and a few basic rules of engagement when entering the café so as to maintain a controlled environment for the 10 resident cats. But the combination of tasty food and entertaining and friendly feline company makes for a memorable all-round experience and so much more than just a lunch stop.
