A darkly satirical comedy about a cloth puppet’s attempts to navigate society and its support systems in order to live an ordinary life, Meet Fred is landing in Shrewsbury having toured to more than 20 countries during the last decade. 

Presented by inclusive theatre company Hijinx and featuring black, farcical and even X-rated humour, the production takes a poignant look at disability rights, the absurdity of bureaucratic red tape, and ultimately what it means to be human... 

The show features a cast of performers with and without learning disabilities and/or autism, ‘whose lived experiences bring depth and authenticity to Fred’s struggle’.
