Cineworld has today announced that it is reopening cinemas across England on Friday 10 July.

The opening date is subject to UK government restrictions, with dates to follow for cinemas in Scotland, Wales and Ireland.

In order to provide a safe environment for employees and guests in light of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, a number of safety measures will be in place: social distancing; hand washing; hand sanitisers; additional cleaning; e-ticketing; updated seating maps; staggered film times; plastic screens at tills; contactless payments; and training and PPE.

"We know how much you’ve been missing the cinema and we are thrilled to be back! With great films ahead, including Mulan, Tenet, A Quiet Place Part II, No Time To Die and many more, we can’t wait to welcome you back to Cineworld."
