Ludlow Assembly Rooms has received £97,250 from the very first round of the Culture Recovery Fund grants programme.

The venue hosts a range of entertainment, including live theatre, dance, comedy and music, It also provides activities for the community, including drama groups for young people, life and portrait classes, a photographic group, yoga, table tennis and spaces for meetings.

The funding will be used for developing safe, live performances, working in partnership with the Ludlow Music Society.

The £257million investment was announced on Monday as part of the very first round of the Culture Recovery Fund grants programme, which is being administered by Arts Council England. Further rounds of funding in the cultural and heritage sector are due to be announced over the coming weeks.
