The Shropshire Festival team is gearing up to deliver a treat for ABBA fans this coming weekend with its latest drive-in event at Shrewsbury's West Mid Showground.

ABBA The Story is a theatrical production which charts the Swedish supergroup's rise to international stardom - from their 1974 Eurovision win on British soil, through to sell-out world tours and continuing success via hit musical Mamma Mia!.

The show stars Sheena Beckett as Agnetha, Sarah Fearnley as Anni-Frid (Frida), Allan Beckett as Benny and John Clews as Björn. A live-on-stage band and voiceover narration also feature.

ABBA The Story shows at West Mid Showground on Saturday 18 July. There will be a matinee performance from 3pm to 5pm (gates open at 2pm) and an evening performance from 7pm to 9pm (gates open at 6pm). Tickets cost £32.50 per car.

The event will adhere to the government's latest health & safety guidance concerning Covid-19, with necessary social-distancing measures in place to ensure a safe environment for visitors.
