See the night sky and discover more about our solar system, distant stars and outer space in a pop-up planetarium at Enginuity, Coalbrookdale during half-term, 16 – 24 February.
Book a timed session in the planetarium and learn about the life cycle of stars such as our sun, what it’s possible to see with the naked eye and the amazing technology now available to astronomers enabling new discoveries and theories right back to the Big Bang at the beginning of time.
Budding astronomers can also join an evening of sky gazing on Tuesday, 19thFebruary and see the fantastic star constellations in real life. With a full moon rising from the east, you should also be able to see the mysterious marks on our own permanent satellite. Bring your own telescope and see further into space. All weather permitting of course.
During half-term week you can also join a hands-on workshop to design and make your own space-themed model from craft materials to take home. Then play with the huge interactive exhibits at Enginuity which include pulling a 10-ton steam locomotive by hand and generating electricity from flowing water.
