The country is set to get a little wackier next year as the team behind Shrewsbury’s hugely successful, award winning 2019 Krazy Races is back today with the announcement of not one, not two but four brand new races for 2022.

Krazy Races is a free to attend event, aiming to bring all manner of races, wild and zany to towns & cities across the U.K and beyond in the form of a traditional SoapBox Derby.

The Krazy Races team are set for a jam packed Summer of fun with races returning to Shrewsbury on the 29 May followed by Northwich Cheshire on the 26 June, two weeks later the team will travel to the west midlands for Birmingham & Sandwell Krazy Races on the 10 July followed by Wolverhampton Krazy Races on the 21 August.

Krazy Races is the jewel in the crown of Sarah Belcher events ltd and the Brainchild of the companies owner Sarah Belcher. Sarah Belcher events believe in giving something back and making a positive impact in the towns and cities their events visit for the local businesses, partners and charities.

Teams who enter to be part of the events are encouraged to raise money for a nominated charity and since the first event In 2019 Krazy Races has committed to partnering with a head line charity partner.

The first Krazy Races in Shrewsbury was supported by Macmillan Cancer Support helping the charity raise over £20,000. For 2022 Macmillan will be returning as the chosen charity for Shrewsbury as well as Northwich and Wolverhampton. Birmingham Children hospital charity will support Birmingham & Sandwell Krazy Races.

Thousands of spectators are expected to attend each of our events to cheer on the weird, wacky and wonderful SoapBox entrants who can enjoy watching carefully crafted karts being hurtled down a track which will consist of chicanes, obstacles, water features and more.

Applications for teams to enter have opened today with event organisers looking for 40-60 teams to enter each race in a knockout style competition with trophies going to ‘fastest winner’, ‘best dressed’, ‘most innovative design’ and more.
