Lichfield Cathedral is to reopen its doors to visitors on Tuesday 14 July, with a pre-booked, timed ticket system in place to maintain safety and aid the track & trace initiative.

Temporary changes to opening times will see the cathedral open from Monday to Saturday 1.30pm to 4.30pm, and Sunday 12.30pm to 4.30pm. Last entry is 4pm.

A safety route will be marked out around the cathedral and access to some areas will be restricted in order to maintain social-distancing measures and minimise contact points. Prayer Enablers will be happy to assist those wishing to light a candle.

A temporary nominal charge will be in operation at the point of pre-booking tickets, to help with the day-to-day costs of keeping the cathedral open to visitors.

Adults and children (5-16): £2 each
Family (2 adults + 2 children): £5
