Full casting has been announced for the feel-good musical MAMMA MIA! which stops to The Regent Theatre from Tuesday 18 – Saturday 29 April as part of its UK tour.

MAMMA MIA! is Judy Craymer’s ingenious vision of staging the story-telling magic of ABBA’s timeless songs with an enchanting tale of family and friendship unfolding on a Greek island paradise. To date, it has been seen by more than 60 million people in 50 productions in 16 different languages. MAMMA MIA! The Movie starring Meryl Streep and Pierce Brosnan, is the highest worldwide grossing live-action musical film of all time.

Helen Hobson plays Donna Sheridan. Her many theatre credits include: Madame Vion in Only the Brave (Wales Millennium Centre, Cardiff), Bakkhai (Almeida), Mrs Davies in Sunny Afternoon (Hampstead Theatre), Mother Abbess in The Sound of Music (Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre).

Gillian Hardie plays Rosie. Theatre includes: Trish in Kinky Boots (Adelphi), Brenda/Ensemble in Blood Brothers (UK tour), Bunny in Saucy Jack and The Space Vixens (The Vaults, London Bridge), Ensemble in Bad Girls The Musical (Garrick Theatre), Beryl in One Dream – The Beryl Marsden Story (Epstein Theatre, Liverpool).

Emma Clifford plays Tanya. Theatre includes: Baroness Elsa Schraeder in The Sound of Music  (Curve Theatre, Leicester), Catwoman  in Batman Live World Arena Tour (Water Lane Productions Ltd), Mademoiselle Y in The Stronger (Arcola), Speed-the-Plow (Old Vic), Olivia in Twelfth Night (Birmingham Stage Company, London). 

Alex Bourne plays Sam Carmichael. Theatre includes: Ensemble in Showboat (Royal Shakespeare Company/ Opera North), Buddy Holly in Buddy – The Buddy Holly Story (E&B Productions), John Lennon/Bobby Vee/ Bruce Springstein in Only the Lonely (Bill Kenwright Ltd.), Kenickie in Grease (Robert Stigwood Organisation).

Jamie Hogarth plays Harry Bright. Theatre includes: Sergeant ‘Dusty’ Miller in Flare Path (UK tour), Tony in Abigail’s Party (Bath Theatre Royal and Wyndham’s), PC Terry Fordham in Plague Over England(Duchess), Gary Lejeune in Noises Off (UK tour), Richard Warwick in The Unexpected Guest (Bill Kenwright Productions).

Christopher Hollis plays Bill Austin. Theatre includes: Oberon in A Midsummer Night’s Dream (PSF), Bill Austin in MAMMA MIA! (Novello), Benvolio in Romeo and Juliet (Playhouse, Salisbury), Sebastian inTwelfth Night (RSC), Demetrius in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Tyrell and Blunt in Richard III, Robin Hood in Sherwood (Regent’s Park Open Air).

Lucy May Barker plays Sophie Sheridan. Theatre includes: Ilse in Spring Awakening (original cast Lyric Hammersmith and Novello), Marina in Earthquakes in London and Millie in Really Old Like Forty Five (NT), Mercy Lewis in The Crucible (Regent’s Park Open Air), Clarissa in The Reluctant Debutant (UK tour).

Phillip Ryan plays Sky. Theatre includes: Trainspotting (Edinburgh Festival), Defect for Perfect Pitch and a workshop of Head’s Up for No Fun Productions.

 Fia Houston-Hamilton plays Ali. Theatre credits include: Rachel in Town is Dead (Abbey Theatre, Dublin), Yarico in Yarico (Trestle Theatre), Ensemble in Ghost the Musical (Singapore), Gospel Soloist / Landlady inViolet (Bernie Grant Arts Centre) and Kyra in Bare (Union Theatre).

Blaise Colangelo plays Lisa. Theatre includes: Teen Fiona and Tweedle Dum in Shrek the Musical (Theatre Royal, Drury Lane), Ensemble and understudy Wendy in Peter Pan (UK Productions, Assembly Halls Theatre, Tunbridge Wells), Ensemble and understudy Fairy Kindheart in Jack and the Beanstalk (Assembly Halls Theatre, Tunbridge Wells), Angela Robson in Billy Elliot (Victoria Palace) and Young Eponine in Les Misérables (Palace Theatre).

Louis Stockil plays Pepper. Theatre includes: RAGS in concert (2014), Ensemble and Understudy Tom Thumb in Barnum (UK tour) and Noah Claypole in Oliver! (Leicester Curve).

Brad Veitch plays Eddie. Theatre includes: Swing/1st cover Pepper, 3rd cover Eddie/3rd cover Sky in MAMMA MIA! (Novello Theatre), Dancer/ Played Bad Fairy/Understudy Prince in Sleeping Beauty (Rhyl Pavilion) and Ensemble in Rags the Musical – in Concert (Lyric Theatre, Hammersmith) and Prince in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (Buxton Opera House).
