Local family-favourite attraction Drayton Manor Park is preparing for a scaring this October Half Term, with some ghoulish, family-friendly activities.

From Saturday 19 October to Thursday 31 October, the Staffordshire-based theme park will be hosting fang-tastic daily activities, including spooky shows from special Halloween Thomas and Friends characters, pumpkin carving and a Halloween Bale Trail.

Stars of Thomas and Friends will be on-hand throughout the Halloween spook-tacular, to provide entertainment at Knapford Station, as well as ghoulish Meet and Greets.* A special Thomas-themed Trick or Treat with the Fat Controller himself will also be taking place at 11am and 1pm daily.

The bravest mini Halloween fans will have to keep their wits about them in the park’s abandoned vicarage, The Haunting; a thrilling, mind-bending, and totally unforgettable attraction.

New for 2019 is Drayton Manor Park’s Halloween Bale Trail, during which families follow spooky clues around the park to find some scary Halloween surprises, ending with a treat!

The park’s hourly zoo talks will also be returning for the More Treat than Trick event, with talks from experienced zookeepers on red pandas, spider monkeys, meerkats and reptiles; including the park’s own 13-foot anaconda.

William Bryan, Managing Director at Drayton Manor Park, said: “Halloween is one of our favourite times of year at Drayton Manor Park, with spooky activities and fang-tastic fun for the whole family.

“This year’s events will be perfect for little Halloween-lovers, so we’re looking forward to welcoming regular and new visitors alike for another wicked More Treat than Trick event!”

Suitable for children and adults of all ages, Thomas Land rides will also be available during the Halloween events, featuring 25 tot-friendly favourites, including an exciting mini coaster for the little ones.
