Families are in for a treat this summer, as Drayton Manor Park is selling tickets for half price - but you’ll have to act fast to get your hands on them!

The Staffordshire-based theme park will be slashing its prices after finding that parents will last just three weeks into the summer holidays before they start to feel completely fed up, with one in five confessing they find it the most stressful time of the year.

The study also revealed the key challenges for parents over the summer holidays, with keeping the kids entertained (48 percent), youngsters saying they are bored the WHOLE time (40 percent) and trying to find activities that the entire family want to do (34 percent), all topping the list.

In fact, 36 percent of mum and dads say they feel guilty if they don’t have an activity planned every day, and a whopping 93 percent say they wish there were more fun things to do as a family during the summer months.

To help parents ‘save’ their summer, half-price tickets will be available to buy on the Drayton Manor Park website from 10am on Thursday 15 August until Monday 19 August, offering families the chance to visit the park any time until Sunday 1 September – with tickets available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Big savings can be made during the sale when you book online in advance, with adult prices (aged 12+) reduced from £39 to £19.50, children aged 4 – 11 from £29 to £14.50 and senior tickets from £30 to £15.

William Bryan, Managing Director at Drayton Manor Park, said: “For many, the summer holidays are the best time of the year, but we know all too well how difficult it can be to find things to keep the family entertained throughout the six-week break.

“Whether it’s finding the perfect activity for the whole family to enjoy, or trying to stop the kids from moaning about being bored – it seems the holidays can be a real challenge for parents trying to keep everyone happy, particularly after the little ones break up from school.

“That’s why we’re giving parents the opportunity to ‘save their summer’, with half price tickets to Drayton Manor Park, to keep young and old entertained throughout the holidays!”
