An interactive show produced especially for younger audiences is to be staged at Coventry's Belgrade theatre in the run up to Christmas.

Immersion Theatre's Santa's Christmas Rescue (17 to 24 December) is a socially distanced production packed with songs, laughter and festive fun.

The story follows Santa, Ellie and Rudolph who are all ready for Christmas: the sleigh is ready to fly, the workshop is decorated, the presents are all wrapped, But, Ellie and Rudolf are having to embark on a rescue mission to rescue Santa who has got himself stuck in the snow...

Visitors - young and not so young - are encouraged to arrive dressed in festive attire. Christmas themed face masks are also encouraged.

Santa's Christmas Rescue lasts about 35 minutes. Post show, children will have an opportunity to speak to Santa or Ellie the Elf via a TV link and receive a gift.

For those in receipt of a ticket and not able to attend the performance for COVID reasons, the theatre will send a full on-line pre-recorded version of the production which can be watched at home as an alternative to attending in person. This is in addition to Belgrade’s exchange and refund policy.
