Next week The Belgrade welcome award-winning music artist, actress, activist and queer icon Sutara Gayle (AKA Lorna Gee) with her blistering autobiographical show, The Legends of Them.

From Holloway Prison and the Brixton riots, to music stardom and spiritual awakenings - Sutara's life has been extraordinary, full of searing highs and devastating lows. In this raw, honest and gripping production she takes her audience on a tour-de-force journey through the key moments that have shaped her, including her turbulent childhood, coming out to her religious parents, the police shooting of her sister Cherry Groce (which sparked the Brixton riots) and a stay at a silent retreat seeking spiritual guidance from the legendary figures who guide her, like her brother Mooji and ancestor Nanny of the Maroons.

Full of high octane musical numbers, loads of humour and a truly breathtaking performance, The Legends of Them is an unmissable, awe-inspiring exploration of one woman's incredible real life journey.

For two nights only on Friday 21 & Saturday 22 November with tickets from £20.
