Nathan Lane, Chef de Partie at The Cross in Kenilworth, has been named as the British Culinary Federation Young Chef of the Year.
The 21-year old competed against 14 other young chefs in the final, which took place at University College, Birmingham on 11 November.
Lane fought off tough competition from Samuel King from The Ritz who came in 2nd place and Luke Draper from Cheals of Henley placing 3rd.
This accolade means that he will now be automatically entered into the Young National Chef of the Year competition.
