Severn Valley Railway’s popular Santa Steam Specials return this Christmas, featuring a brand-new live theatrical production for 2026, The Recipe for Christmas.

Running from 28 November to 24 December, the festive experience begins at Kidderminster Station, where passengers board a heritage steam train for a magical journey to Arley Station. Along the way, families can enjoy seasonal treats, festive decorations and plenty of Christmas cheer.

The highlight of this year’s event is The Recipe for Christmas, a new live show at Arley Station combining music, laughter and festive magic in a heart-warming adventure for all ages. After the performance, guests return to Kidderminster by steam train, with every child receiving a special gift from Santa’s team to take home.
