There is lots going on and across the site at Avoncroft Museum of Historic Buildings this Easter.

There will be various displays and interpretations in the buildings with a historical trail relating to the traditions and customs associated with Easter for children and adults to enjoy.

In addition to the trial, there will be activities, displays and information which will link with the historic trail:

  • Egg dying - Nailer’s Cottage- interpretation and display.
  • Hot cross buns – Toll House- interpretation, display and demonstrations (demonstrations weekend only).
  • Craft activities in cockpit
  • Easter game traditions in the Town House
  • Easter during wartime – in the Prefab e.g., chocolate rationing and carrot lollies- interpretation and display.
  • Easter egg hunt – Trail spot the Easter Eggs around the site
  • Lawn games – Guesten Hall Lawn.

Please note a daily ticket required for entry to the museum or free to members.
