MotoFest is back! And with it’s biggest EVER entertainment programme, to celebrate the event's 10 year anniversary! With free admission to the museum all weekend for everyone, and no need to book ahead, the venue hosts an exciting lineup of events and captivating displays, throughout the duration of the weekend.
BloodHound LSR Replica Display - Saturday
The museum will host a full-size replica of the BloodHound LSR car in Millennium Place. The replica vehicle will be supported by the BloodHound Education team; With lots of information about the car’s history and development on offer, and the real Bloodhound car, currently on display in the museum's Land Speed Gallery.
PlayHEM In Millennium Place - Saturday & Sunday
Experience the joy of play, where there is something for all the family to get involved in. Through hands-on experiences with open-ended play items, the Learning and Engagement Team from Coventry Transport Museum will be encouraging children (and their grown-ups) of all ages to embrace their imagination and curiosity.
Motorcycle Display - Sunday
Witness a spectacular array of retro motorbikes and vintage bicycles on display on Millenium Place! Featuring an early Coventry Premier motorcycle as well as a Humber penny farthing fit for racing, the museum has curated a spotlight display showcasing the evolution in bicycle to motorcycle.
4D Simulator - Saturday & Sunday
Want to know what it's like driving the fastest car in the world? Now you too can experience the thrill of breaking the World Land Speed Record on the museum's 4D Land Speed Record Simulator! Take your seat, buckle up, and discover for yourself what it's like to drive faster than the speed of sound, across the Black Rock Desert in America.
Plus, for MotoFest weekend, there will be a screening of two additional films, including the 1956 Le Mans race with 1950s racing icon Mike Hawthorne & a unique fly through of the BloodHound LSR engine.
