This specially adapted and immersive version, viscerally brings to life Shakespeare’s tragic tale of greed, ambition and ultimate downfall. By condensing Shakespeare’s famous tale of the would be Scottish king Macbeth to its essential story-line, Paul Steventon-Marks and Oldbury Rep have been able to create time and space for the thoughts and inner turmoil of the characters to spill out, and wash over the audience in the intimate and atmospheric setting of the Oldbury Rep studio theatre space.

The audience are in the set as though courtiers in Macbeth’s castle and as such, are entwined in every aspect of this tale of ‘vaulting ambition, which o’erleaps itself…’
