Buzzcocks are genuine, 24-carat punk-rock royalty, having formed, along with the Sex Pistols and the Clash, the original holy trinity of British punk. Superstar groups such as REM, Nirvana and Green Day have all been happy to acknowledge the influence which the Bolton-originated band had on their music.

Influential in terms of both the independent record movement and the Manchester music scene, the band were once hailed ‘The Beatles of punk’, their sound being described as a fusion of pop craftsmanship and rapid-fire punk energy.
