The UK’s leading Deaf-led Film & Arts Festival is back.
Deaffest is back for 2024, celebrating its 15th anniversary.
Marking this special anniversary milestone with a music theme, the internationally recognised festival will be bigger, with a line-up of films showcased both at the festival and via its brand-new online cinema. All this and more, with the support of the BFI, awarding funds from the National Lottery.
The festival includes screenings of films which have been nominated for the widely anticipated Deaffest 2024 Film and TV Awards, with documentaries, feature length and short films, and titles for Best Director, Screenwriter, Actors and Presenter.
There is also a selection of talks and workshops, whether you want to have a go at Hula Hooping and Circus Skills, learn about creating social media content, or have a laugh with comedian John Smith.
At these venues, the festival’s 15th edition will offer accessible events, including an art & photography exhibition, panel discussions, workshops, a stalls fair, performances, plus the widely anticipated 9th Film and TV Awards Gala and Late-Night Party, with networking opportunities.
